2018 Valentine’s Day

This has been a memorable day. My Valentine had already sent a Valentine’s card a week ago. We have already made a small commitment to moments of happiness. And the distance between us will be merely a chance to know eachother’s souls. What a beautiful gift!

Besides the beautiful flowers in a gorgeous red vase, the best part of today was the two hour conversation. Talking about the good and bad times in our past relationships. Sharing our most vulnerable moments and feeling comfortable sharing. Our souls are merging in a sense; inter-twining into a world of understanding, compassion and respect and faith.

I feel God’s faithfulness and His mercy. Most importantly, God’s love has enveloped my heart and soul. I feel peace and confidence that I can see God’s plan for me.

This was a very special Valentine’s Day! I’m happy, I’m spoiled, but I am blessed!!!

When the Blessing is Within Reach.

One click of the button and I had registered to an online dating site. Although I had not subscribed, I had a message waiting -but I had to pay my subscription. Imagine that!!! And so I paid!

The message that caught my undivided attention was the one that shared with me his day making donuts in a parking lot full of snow. I could almost hear his joy as he described his daughter’s laughter. The special moment between a daughter and her dad.

I could not pass up the opportunity to meet a man whose daughters ruled his world. A man who was not afraid to share his faith and heart in a first online conversation.

This was the beginning of a wonderful journey. To know someone’s vulnerable heart and beautiful soul before knowing his physical being, proved to be God-sent.

I am so blessed that this gentle man would feel compelled to know me. The only validation of God’s blessing is to place total trust in Our Good Lord and let him take care of my own heart. I’ve learned that if I trust God with my decisions and life, He will always bless me with life’s ultimate gift – love.

It’s been an amazing three weeks and I feel assured God’s hand is at work! I pray I will never take advantage of God’s graces and blessings. Always and in all ways!!
